Why this page exists
\n
Jerzo prints hockey jerseys with the names, numbers and, on one product, the crests our customers send us. We also publish our own product photos, descriptions and designs on jerzo.shop. We respect copyright and expect our customers to do the same. This page explains how a copyright owner can tell us about material on our site, or a customer order, that they believe infringes their copyright, following the notice-and-takedown process of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
\n
2. Where to send a notice
\n
Email: support@jerzo.shop, subject line “DMCA notice”. Post: Jerzo, 10860 Knights Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154, US. Email is faster; we read the support inbox every business day and reply within 24 hours on business days.
\n
3. What a complete notice contains
\n
To act on a notice, we need all of the following:
\n
\n
Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for them.
\n
A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed. If several works are involved, a list.
\n
The exact location of the material on jerzo.shop: the page URL, and for an image, which image. For a customer order, as much detail as you have.
\n
Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address so we can contact you.
\n
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
\n
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
\n
\n
If a notice is missing something, we will reply and ask for it. Incomplete notices may delay action.
\n
4. What we do with a notice
\n
\n
We confirm receipt by email.
\n
We review the notice and the material.
\n
If the notice is complete, we remove or disable access to the material, or stop production of the affected order.
\n
We tell the person who supplied the material (for example the customer who sent a crest) that it was removed, and send them a copy of the notice with personal details limited to what the law requires.
\n
We keep a record of the notice and our action.
\n
\n
5. Counter-notices
\n
If material you supplied was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must contain:
\n
\n
Your physical or electronic signature.
\n
Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
\n
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
\n
Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district where Jerzo may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
\n
\n
We forward a complete counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they do not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material, where restoring it makes sense for an order or a page.
\n
6. Repeat infringers
\n
If a customer repeatedly asks us to print material that is the subject of valid notices, we stop accepting their personalised orders. If a page or image on our own site is subject to a valid notice, we remove it and review how it got there.
\n
7. Crests and customer-supplied images
\n
The own-crest jersey lets a customer send us a link to a crest image. Before ordering, the customer must confirm that they own the crest or have permission to use it. We do not print crests, logos or names of teams, leagues or brands the customer does not own. If a rights owner tells us that a crest in an order is theirs, we stop the order, refund the customer in full within 7 days of our cancellation email, and delete the file. Customer crest links are deleted 30 days after delivery in any case.
\n
8. False notices
\n
Sending a notice or counter-notice that knowingly misrepresents facts can make the sender liable for damages under US law. If you are unsure whether material infringes your copyright, consider getting legal advice before sending a notice.
\n
10. What our designs are, and are not
\n
Every Jerzo design is a generic hockey pattern: stripes at the hem and sleeves, a diagonal sash, a shoulder yoke, chevrons, pinstripes, colour fades, plaid. Colour combinations are described by plain colour names such as Midnight & Cyan or Red & White. We do not copy team uniforms, crests or wordmarks, and we do not name our products after teams, leagues, players or events. If you believe one of our own designs copies a protected work of yours, send a notice as described above and point to the specific product.
\n
11. Product photos and site text
\n
Product photos, page text and our logo are created for Jerzo or used with permission. If you find a photo or text on jerzo.shop that you believe is yours, send a notice with the page URL and the original. If you find Jerzo photos or text on another site without our permission, tell us at support@jerzo.shop; we handle those cases ourselves.
\n
\n
Timeline after a complete notice
\n
\n
\n
Step
\n
Typical timing
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Confirmation of receipt
\n
Within 24 hours on business days
\n
\n
\n
Review and removal of material, or order stopped
\n
As soon as the notice is confirmed complete
\n
\n
\n
Customer told, copy of notice sent
\n
Same day as removal
\n
\n
\n
Counter-notice forwarded
\n
Promptly after it arrives
\n
\n
\n
Possible restoration after counter-notice
\n
10 to 14 business days, unless a court action is filed
\n
\n
\n
\n
12. Notices about a customer order in production
\n
If you see a jersey design request that you believe infringes your copyright, for example a crest shared publicly by a customer before ordering, we can only act on orders we have actually received. Give us as much detail as you can, and we will check our open orders. If we find a matching order, we stop production and follow section 4. If the jersey has already shipped, we tell the customer and record the notice for section 6.
\n
13. Privacy of the people involved
\n
When we forward a notice to a customer, we share what the law requires so they can respond, typically the notice text and the claimant’s contact details. When we forward a counter-notice, the same applies in the other direction. Otherwise we handle personal information from notices as described in our Privacy Policy.
\n
14. Questions
\n
Can I send a notice by phone?
\n
No. Notices must be in writing, by email or post, so we have a signed record.
\n
Do you print team logos if the customer says it is fine?
\n
No. We only print crests the customer owns or has permission to use, and never team, league or brand marks.
\n
How fast do you act?
\n
We confirm within 24 hours on business days and remove material as soon as a notice is complete.
\n
Is this page about trademarks?
\n
Copyright only. For trademarks and other rights, see the Intellectual Property Policy.
\n
What if I am not sure the use infringes?
\n
Email us first with your question. We may be able to explain where the material came from.
\n
15. Designated contact
\n
Notices under this page are handled by Jerzo directly, at support@jerzo.shop or by post to Jerzo, 10860 Knights Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154, US. Please do not send notices to any other address; they may not reach the right person in time.
\n
16. Sample notice
\n
You can use this outline. Replace each description with your own details: “I am the owner of the copyright in the following work: (describe the work). It appears without permission at (page URL on jerzo.shop, and which image or text). My contact details are (name, postal address, telephone, email). I have a good-faith belief that this use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law. The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf. Signed: (your name).” Send it to support@jerzo.shop with the subject “DMCA notice”.
\n
17. Sample counter-notice
\n
“Material I supplied (describe it, for example the crest for order number and date) was removed from (page or order). I state under penalty of perjury that I have a good-faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification. My name, address and telephone number are (details). I consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for my address, or if I am outside the United States, any judicial district in which Jerzo may be found, and I will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent. Signed: (your name).”
\n
18. Records
\n
We keep copies of notices, counter-notices and our replies for as long as needed to handle the matter and any follow-up, and to apply section 6. We do not publish them.
\n
19. Good faith on both sides
\n
Most rights questions we see are honest mix-ups: a club logo drawn by a former member, a crest a parent found online, a photo reused by a supplier. We would rather sort these out with a short email than a formal process. If you are a rights owner and prefer to talk first, write to us; if you are a customer whose crest was questioned, tell us where the crest came from. Either way, we answer within 24 hours on business days.
\n
20. Notices from outside the United States
\n
The DMCA is a US law, and Jerzo is based in the United States. If you are outside the US, you can still send a notice using the same format, and we will review it the same way.
\n
9. Not legal advice
\n
This page explains our process; it is not legal advice.
